I was born in Nashville, Tennessee and completed my BFA at Washington University in Saint Louis in 2007 and my MFA at The University of Houston in 2012.

For me, a view or photograph presents endless possibilities of representation through technique, materials, color, and proportions. I am particularly interested in the dilemma of the distortion that occurs in the process of making a painting or drawing, and the opportunities for engagement that intentionally distorting color, and proportions present.

My collaborative T-shirt designs are a way to play with the creation of hand-drawn characters and how they relate to a concept represented in text that usually involves puns.
